My daughter participated in the Challenger Sports soccer camp. The camp brings young coaches over from England to coach week long camp programs, both full day and half day options, we did the half day option. The session she did had about 50 campers with 5 coaches and a head coach. The campers were divided into 5 groups of about 10 based on age. The coaches were very nice and easy going, encouraging the kids, but not pressuring them. They started with drills and the younger groups played silly games to practice soccer skills such as looking for the open player to throw the ball to. After a short snack and meeting time to recognize campers for good work they would have a scrimmage game to end the morning. Every day they had a theme to make things fun such as bring/make a flag and team points for biggest, smallest, tastiest, most creative etc. The kids all seemed to enjoy camp every day and I really appreciated that the coaches were laid back and there to have fun more than worry about playing perfectly.
