How do you and/or your business get into the spirit of giving?
The spirit of giving is inside us year round, but the holiday season definitely fuels the motivation to make more of an effort. Personally, thinking about what’s important to me (family, friends, love, warm meals together, and good memories) inspires me to help others enjoy those experiences as well.
What is your favorite part about this time of year?
The increased focus on family time and making lasting memories together, especially with my children.
What is your local family “must attend” holiday event?
Since this is my first holiday season living on the Cape, I’m still looking at all the options.
Would you share with us a family tradition?
Every Christmas Eve both of my daughters open one gift which is a box that includes a new pair of pajamas, a new ornament for the tree, hot chocolate, a snack, and a new DVD to watch. We all get comfortable and watch a family movie together while enjoying hot chocolate (and coffee for me) and snacks.
If you could have one wish this holiday season, what would it be?
That we can help make a real impact on improving other peoples’ lives. Even something as simple as a warm cup of coffee or new pair of socks can help someone in need.
What are your festive words of advice for our families during this special time?
Remember the intention of the season. Regardless of what holiday you celebrate, if any, we can all share in happy and joyous sentiments and feelings. A little kindness can go a long ways.
What is your favorite holiday dessert?
