Our annual Cape Cod Fireworks & Parades listing is back! Every year this POPULAR listing helps local and visiting families find where the 4th of July Fireworks and Parades are taking place. Just check out our 2017 list to see all the past fun! Below we have compiled a listing of all the fireworks, parades and other celebrations taking place across Cape Cod & the Islands. The list is in alphabetic order by town and will list any parades, fireworks or other activities taking place. If you know of a local event on Cape Cod, the Islands or any of the surrounding areas, that we have forgotten to include, then please comment at the bottom of this post or email us and we are happy to add it! ![]() Barnstable Parades: Barnstable/West Barnstable - 7/4/18 Starts at 9 a.m., along Main Street (Rt. 6A) in Barnstable Village Centerville - 7/4/18 Begins at 10 a.m. from Centerville Elementary School Cotuit - 7/4/18 At 11 a.m. the parade will start from the Post Office and proceed down School Street and up Main Street to the Elementary School. Hyannis - 7/4/18 Main Street is the place to be at 4 p.m. for the Hyannis 4th of July street parade Hyannis Inner Harbor Boat Parade ~ 7/4/18 2pm Village Green, Main Street, Hyannis The boats assemble and head to the inner harbor to show off their red, white and blue! Hosted by Hyannis Marina, best viewing is along Ocean Street at Hyannis Harbor around 2:00 PM. Fireworks: Date: July 4, 2018 Time: Dusk Place: Lewis Bay Tip: The best viewing spots are the beaches around Hyannis Harbor and on the West Yarmouth beaches along Lewis Bay. Pack a picnic basket for dinner and stake out your spot in late afternoon. Or have a bite to eat at a nearby restaurant, then walk to the beach for the fireworks show. (Don't forget your cover-up clothes. It gets chilly on the beach after sunset, even in July!) Bourne Parades: Bourne Parade - 7/4/18 Beginning at 10 a.m., along Main Street in Buzzards Bay Chatham Parades: Chatham - 7/4/18 Chatham's parade kicks off at 9:30 a.m. and proceeds along Main Street Edgartown Parades & Fireworks: July 4, 2018 5-11pm in Edgartown Celebrate the Fourth of July with Edgartown’s traditional parade & fireworks. Enjoy the traditional late afternoon parade then head over to lawn of the Dr. Daniel Fisher house on Main Street for burgers and hot dogs at the MV Preservation Trust’s annual BBQ. Then claim your seat on Memorial Wharf or any other harbor front location for a resplendent display over the water. Display begins as darkness falls. Free and all are welcome. ![]() Falmouth Parades: Falmouth - 7/4/18 The Bike & Carriage Parade begins at 10 a.m. from the Village Green, down Main Street to Peg Noonan Park Woods Hole - 7/4/18 This popular 4th of July parade, organized by the Marine Biological Laboratory, begins at noon and proceeds down Water Street. Fireworks: Date: July 4, 2018 Time: Dusk Place: Falmouth Heights Beach Tip: Bring a radio and tune to PIXY 103 (102.9 FM) to hear the music that accompanies the fireworks. Other Events: RUN JACK RUN Family Fun Run/Walk on July 4th- July 4,2018 9am Trotting Park Field This is unbelievably our 7th Annual RUN JACK RUN Family Fun Run/Walk in honor and celebration of Jack Pearsall, our son, brother, grandson, cousin, friend, teammate, classmate. It is incredible how this event has grown and continues to bring such positive people and energy into our lives. 4th of July marks the 7 year anniversary of losing Jack after he was hit by a drunk driver after the Mashpee town fireworks on July 1, 2011. Spending this day together doing something Jack would love with friends, family and those who cared about him is the best way we've found to get through this day... come join us and take a stand against drunk driving. "Be the Change. Think & Sign. Don't Drink & Drive." Nantucket Activities: 7/4/18 The Department of Culture and Tourism will host the traditional Main Street activities on Wednesday, July 4thbeginning at 10:00 a.m. and culminating with the water fight between Town of Nantucket’s Fire Department and the Boynton Lane Reserves around NOON. Children’s Beach games (potato sack races, three legged races, wheel barrow races and tug-of-war) will begin at 5:00pm. The Balloon Wizard will be on the lawn. At 6:00pm, there will be music on the bandstand. Fireworks The Fireworks Display will be held on Thursday, July 5th at 9:00pm on Jetties Beach. Rain/ weather date is Friday, July 6th. Onset-Wareham Fireworks: Date: July 7, 2018 Time: Dusk Place: Onset Beach & Bay Tip: The village of Onset is on the "mainland" side of the Cape Cod Canal, just over the bridge. It's an absolutely gorgeous little village, and well worth a visit! Orleans Parades: Orleans - 7/4/18 Begins at 10 a.m. on Eldredge Park Way, goes along Rt. 6A, Main Street, Rt. 28 and back to Eldredge Park Fireworks: Date: July 1, 2018 (rain date July 5th) Time: Dusk (start btw 8:30 and 9:15 pm) Place: Rock Harbor Tip: You can also see the Rock Harbor fireworks display from Cape Cod Bay beaches in Brewster and Eastham. They'll be off at a distance, but still fun to see. You can also see them up close at Skaket Beach. Provincetown Parades: Provincetown - 7/4/18 Starting at 11 a.m. at the East End, Harbor Hotel, up Commercial Street to Franklin Street Fireworks: Date: July 4, 2018 Time: Dusk Place: Provincetown Harbor Tip: For a very special experience - watch the fireworks from onboard a ship in the Harbor. On July 4th, Dolphin Fleet offers whale watch plus fireworks cruises as well as a fireworks-only cruise. These cruises are very popular, so reserve your spot early. Sandwich Parades: Sandwich - 7/4/18 The parade kicks off at 10 a.m. at the Wing School on Water Street Sandwich Boat Parade When: July 4, 2018, 9 p.m. Where: Shawme Pond, Sandwich Admission: Free More Info: Sandwich Recreation Department (508) 888-4361 The Sandwich Boat Parade has been around since the late 1800's! The Boat Parade is comprised of small boats and canoes decorated in creative ways using paper lanterns illuminated by candles.
