![]() Safety 1st RIVA 6-in-1 Flex Modular Travel System Review By Molly I am very excited that I got to try out the new Safety 1st RIVA 6-in-1 Flex Modular Travel System. One of the exciting aspects of this stroller is it is made with lightweight recycled plastic. The fabric is also both washer and dryer safe make cleaning so simple. When you get the stroller it does require some simple assembly. According to the direction you need to put wheels and basket on chassis but mine were already on which may explain why to stroller jingles a little when pushed. All together it only took me about 20 minutes to put all together. The stroller comes with a car seat which is lightweight (7.5lbs) and simple to use. Can be used with or without base until baby is 35lbs. The car seat can attach to stroller frame with adapters (included) and face parent or forward face. The stroller is lightweight at less than 20lbs. The stroller seat can be used as a bassinet or seat with the simple clipping or unclipping of a buckle which is nice. When in seat mode it has a small recline and the reclining buckle is not very easy to use. The seat can be parent facing or forward facing by simple flipping the seat around. It comes with two drink holders on handlebars and and belly bar for the seat. On smooth surfaces it pushes well. The seat is small so even though the weight limit is 50 lbs it would really only be good for the first few years with an averaged sized child. The basket is large but not huge and can be accessed from both front and back plus sides of stroller and could definitely hold a large diaper bag and more. Fold is compact and simple but not one handed and can be done with seat on forward facing. For a lightweight $300 travel system stroller for use with an infant or small toddler it seem like it could be a good choice for your car or travel stroller. For me who needs a rugged stroller that can handle all the bumpy city sidewalks and walking a lot it would not be my first choice.

Trains escort you to pick your own peaches, apples and pumpkins in the fall. Families can also enjoy a children’s play area, picnic tables, hay pyramid, and rides, and grown-ups might care to sample some of Lookout's hard cider in the taproom on the grounds. Note: You must pay a per-person admission fee to enter the farm, apple-picking is an additional cost. 508-651-1539 Boston Hill Farm—North Andover Boston Hill Farm offers pick-your-own apples on fall weekends from September 16 through October. There are apples to pick—including McIntosh, Ginger Gold, and Paula Red this year—but also cider doughnuts, live music, ice cream, and a petting farm complete with chickens, geese, bunnies, goats, sheep, and calves. 978-681-8556 Connors Farm—Danvers Not only apples, but a popular corn maze, too! And that's not all this farm has to offer: For younger kids, there's a play area, jumping pillows, hayrides and more. For teens, there's Zombie Paintball and a Haunted Farm. 978-777-1245 Davis Farmland—Sterling While this farm is a solid hour drive from Boston, we are confident it will not disappoint. Plan to spend the day, because along with a U-pick apples and pumpkins, this farm also boasts a splash pad, bounce pillow, multiple playgrounds, a tiny play town, an animal feeding area, and more. There’s even a special section where little farmers get to hold baby goats. Note: while the farm attractions are open daily, the U-pick area is only open on weekends. 978-422-6666 Honeypot Hill Orchard—Stow Honeypot's orchards yield about 12 varieties of apples, with different crops in the spotlight as they ripen throughout the season. The orchard offers other activities like hayrides, barnyard animals, and a hedge maze that’s great for kids ages four through 11. If you're looking for a simpler and less crowded apple picking experience, head down the street to Carver Hill (see above). 978-562-5666 Smolak Farm—North Andover After their berries and summer stone fruits are picked over, Smolak Farm offers plenty of varieties of apples for plucking later in September, across several demarcated orchards. Don't miss the private (secret) orchard nestled behind their Old Standard orchard. During fall weekends, enjoy the Children's Festival Area: Hop on a hay wagon ride and linger longer for time at the playground and petting farm, which costs extra but kids love. 978-682-6332 ![]() Brianna is a native Cape Codder and homeschooling mom of 4, a six year old girl, three year old boy, and twin 7 month old boys. Sometimes we think we don’t have time to make a healthy breakfast, and sometimes we might even forgo breakfast all together. To hopefully encourage you and inspire your breakfast menu, today I’m sharing 3 simple and tasty ideas. ![]() Oatmeal Oatmeal is such a great breakfast choice because of the wide-variety of ways you can embellish this tasty, hearty meal. My family often enjoys peanut butter and fruit in their oatmeal. Some other toppings and additions to consider are: honey, brown sugar, maple syrup, slivered almonds, canned pumpkin, and raisins. Preparing oatmeal in the microwave takes just a minute, so even in a time crunch, oatmeal is a simple option. ![]() Egg Burrito Eggs are a great way to start the day, and adding them to a burrito makes them portable. To create the burrito just scramble a couple eggs, season as desired, and then wrap them in a tortilla shell. Some tasty additions to this burrito can include: avocado, salsa, cheese, and crumbled sausage. ![]() Yogurt Parfait Does this sound too fancy? It’s not. It looks fancy, but it’s very easy and super delicious. Pick your favorite yogurt and dish it into a bowl or cup. Then add some fruit like blueberries and strawberries.
