Our beautiful seaside village hosts a Christmas Festival every year on the first Saturday in December called Christmas in Cotuit.Some of the many events include hay rides with beautiful horses; free chili at the Fire Station; special events for kids at the Cotuit Library and the Cahoon Museum; sales at the Historical Society; wine tasting at the Cotuit Fresh Market and a Craft Sale extravaganza at Freedom Hall.At Cotuit Federated Church, we hosts both a Theme Basket sale (e.g. chocolate lover’s basket; gardener basket; baby shower basket) and a Small Art Works sale featuring paintings and photography by such talented artisans as Alison McMurry, Carol-Jean Barnaby O’Toole, Dan Hart, our Wednesday Artists, and many others. Christmas in Cotuit wraps up with Santa arriving by boat to the Town Dock, walking up to the Village Green for a blessing by the Rev. Angela Menke Ballou and the lighting of the Christmas Tree, and then racing up to our community hall for cookies, hot apple cider, and Christmas carols sung by the fabulous Cotuit Federated Church choir.All in all, this is a beautiful, joy-filled community event!

LoveLocal Fest :: Holiday Edition 2019

The LoveLocal Fest :: Holiday Edition has a new home at Barnstable High School in Hyannis for 2019 as well as some additions to our event lineup, but has the same intention to connect the Cape Cod community with local makers and businesses for the ultimate holiday shopping event!
This year the event which is sponsored by Cape Cod 5 + Michelle Kaye Photography will host over 125 local makers, artisans, artists, food and beverage purveyors [full list of participating vendors will be released a week prior to the event].
The event continues to be two days, Saturday evening and Sunday all day.
Saturday evening will feature Housing Assistance Corporation - HAC's 16th Annual Telethon for HOPE is a major annual fundraiser to support the organizations's local housing programs and services. The broadcast produced by the Cape Cod Community Media Center will be integrated into the event and feature guest appearances from Housing Assistance clients, program directors, and community leaders.
Sunday will feature fun and funky holiday music by DJ Ian Lee and a Kids Zone sponsored by Ten Pin Eatery where there will be games and activities to keep the kiddos happy and in the holiday spirit!
The event is FREE and open to the public, but as always, there will be a suggested donation of $5 at the door. This year the proceeds will go to Housing Assistance Corporation - HAC as well as Love Live Local's own Project Cape Made grant program.
The location offers plenty of onsite parking.

Holiday Events at Mashpee Commons
The clopping of horses adorned with bells, twinkling lights, and the sound of carolers singing in the distance; the holiday season at Mashpee Commons always delivers a memorable experience. Join us for our free holiday events, beginning on Friday, November 29th and running through Monday, December 23rd. The calendar includes horse-drawn carriage rides, live performances by brass band trios, carolers, and photos with Santa. The Mashpee Chamber will hold their annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on Friday, November 29th at the Mashpee Commons Christmas tree, and the Chamber’s annual Christmas Parade, on December 7th, will wind through the Commons.

First Night Sandwich 2020, is an alcohol free New Years Celebration that will kick off Tuesday December 31st, 2019 at 4:00 pm. This community celebration of music, art, and dance is open to all who wish to enjoy an eclectic evening of holiday fun. There will be ice sculptures, lighted giants in the village and along Route 6A, children’s crafts, an enchanting fairy garden, food vendors, storytellers and jugglers.
At 8pm there will a Revelers Parade, followed by the Grand Finale Countdown, and fireworks. over the pond.

Hands down best car/truck/vehicle toy every year is the Hess Toy Truck of the year. My brother (who is now 33) STILL gets one from our Dad for Christmas, as these are also an awesome collectible! Super durable and excellent quality, these are always a favorite toy in our home!
