Essential Oils - Susan Grunin
1. Tell us about your business/non profit and how it benefits local families?
Since using essential oils my family has noticed a dramatic change in our health and wellness just by making simple changes in removing chemicals in every day products such as cleaners and using essential oils such as Thieves, lemon, peppermint & lavender (just to name a few) to support our wellness. I love sharing that journey and teaching others how to do the same.
2. Where is it located?
All over the US/internet based. I am personally based in Harwich and Eastham.
3. What is your favorite part about our community?
I love the support from fellow parents and how so many people work together. I love the small town feel of so many towns on Cape Cod!
4. How else do you get involved with the community?
I am a Board Member of Eastham Dog Owners Association which hosts many great events and educational offerings. Also going to events and teaching classes with Essentially Oiled Pets and Essential Oils of Cape Cod.
5. What are the biggest challenges facing parents in our community?
Health, wellness and rising costs including housing.
6. What is your favorite memory or story over the years involving you and your business?
Just in general the people that I have met in business building and also those who have decided to embrace essential oils in their lives and are loving it. I have met some fabulous people who I am proud to call my friends!
7. What advice would you give parents and care givers in our community?
Get involved! It took me quite a while after moving here from NY to become involved in the community, going to events and meeting people, it makes a huge difference! I have met so many great people.
8. Do you have any specials, events, or anything else taking place this upcoming year that our parents should know?
Yes! I am teaching at Brooks Library in Harwich a series on essential oils (along with Tracy Lamperti) starting February 26, 2018 and running for 5 weeks. I teach classes online on Facebook at Essentially Oiled Pets on toxin free living and using essential oils with pets. I also teach at Nauset Middle School adult education. Check out Essential Oils Cape Cod for a full list of upcoming classes and events as we offer many open houses and classes designed to fit all needs – just make sure to mention my name and that you were at this event!
