Perfect Timing Ultrasound![]() 1. Tell us about your business/non profit and how it benefits local families? Perfect Timing Ultrasound is an elective ultrasound facility dedicated to creating experiences for expectant parents and their families to treasure for a lifetime. We are brand new as we opened over the summer; on 7/1/18! Perfect Timing Ultrasound allows pregnant women and their families to connect with their little ones through every stage of pregnancy. We provide prenatal ultrasound services including pregnancy verification, heartbeat peeks, 2D/3D/4D/HD Live imaging, as well as gender determination as early as 14 weeks! Becoming a mother is an incredible transformation. Kristen and I are both so passionate about our motherhood experiences that we opened a business centered on this phase of life. We feel privileged to fulfill the need that pregnant mothers have to connect with their babies. One important philosophy of ours, and one that we feel serves the community well, is the priority we place on practicing the safety standards that Kristen and I utilize every day in the medical imaging setting. Kristen is an ARDMS licensed sonographer with 10 years of experience in the OBGYN setting. She has been well educated on both the science behind and safe implementation of prenatal ultrasound. We have applied this knowledge and training to the elective setting with Perfect Timing Ultrasound. 2.Where is it located? Perfect Timing Ultrasound is located in Plymouth, Massachusetts at 6 Resnik Road, Suite 202. This is right off of route 3 and route 44, just up the street from the Colony Place shopping plaza. 3.What is your favorite thing about our community? Amongst the many wonderful things that Kristen and I know and love about this community, is something new and special to us as new business owners. The overwhelming love and support from this community for us mompreneurs has been incredible. We were terrified to open Perfect Timing, but our love and dedication for this new baby of ours drove us to push that anxiety aside and go for it. We were shocked at the support that so many provided, including many of the professionals that we worked with to open. They truly wanted us to succeed and are still rooting for us and our new baby of a business today. The outpouring of well wishes from this community on social media has been amazing as well. We are so lucky to live in a place like this. As that saying for raising a family goes (and we feel it can be applied here), “It takes a village!” And we sure appreciate the love and support we have felt from ours! 4. How else do you get involved with the community? Connecting with other businesses like Ladybug Photography and Cape Cod Baby has helped to further our ties within the community. Perfect Timing has also done several give aways including a formula giveaway to moms in need. In addition to this we have donated several gift cards to local raffles to raise money for good causes including Pediatric Cancer Research. 5. What do you think are the biggest challenges facing parents in our community? We feel that some of the biggest challenges facing parents in our community culminate in mom guilt. More specifically; the high cost of living that comes along with residing in this beautiful coastal location, which therefore requires more and more families to have dual incomes. Many mothers are forced to work more than they would really like, even full time, when they would rather be home with their children. Kristen and I both struggle with the Mom guilt behind working at our day jobs and opening a business while having a young family at home. We know we are not alone in this. Both of us struggled with having to return to work with newborns at home, pumping in the work place, and honestly, just wanting to be home being moms to our babies. 6. What is your favorite memory or story over the years involving you and your business? Our favorite memory on this crazy mompreneur journey of ours was our business trip out to Milwaukee, WI to train in elective 3D/4D and gender determination ultrasound. We worked diligently to learn the ways of the elective imaging world by day and worked on developing our website by night. Admittedly, it wasn’t all hard work. We had a ton of laughs! This trip of ours was our first time away from our little families; just us two girls traveling unsupervised! The whole trip was so much fun. We had an absolute blast together and bonded more than ever! Our first night there we found the most amazing Mexican restaurant- “in Milwaukee?!” You ask. Yes, in Milwaukee! It was SOO good, they made their own guacamole in house, right at the table! Being that we are both creatures of habit, and suckers for good guac, apparently, we returned the following night for take-home Guac and chips to eat at the hotel. It was THAT good! That night we also picked up some “go us” champagne at CVS because… IN WISCONSIN, THEY SELL CHAMPAGNE AT CVS!! That alone just had to be celebrated. When we got back to the hotel, we had every intention of getting more work done on the website, but then, when we turned the TV on, there was a Jersey Shore marathon on… we had no choice. We kicked back and watched some good ol’ trash TV over chips, superb guac and CVS champagne. It should come as no surprise that we had a small run in with the Milwaukee Police Department during this trip. I promise we are law abiding citizens! We are painfully cautious in all ways, always. It just so happened that we were driving a rental car. At 3 am. On the way back to the airport. After a very long, strenuous trip. On the wrong side of the road. With no headlights on. IT WAS A RENTAL! No worries, we were not arrested. The police officer did not help us locate our headlights, but we did find them. We arrived at the airport in plenty of time to return the rental car and check in for our flight home to see our precious babies and wonderful husbands. It was a trip we will never forget and hope we get to recreate again one day! … minus the police officer….maybe! 7. What advice would you give parents and caregivers in our community? Regardless of how many children you have, if this is your first pregnancy, or if you’re still trying to conceive, the “4th trimester” struggle is something to think about. This period of time is not often discussed, but it is an incredibly stressful time of sleep deprivation and acclimation. Caring for a new baby is a steep learning curve that comes with a lot of responsibilities. Our advice, from our own personal growth and experiences, is to be forgiving of each other and when you can, to make time for each other as a couple. It’s simple advice really, but so important to reflect on as you prepare to grow your family. 8. Do you have any specials, events, or anything else taking place this upcoming year that our parents should know about? We have recently launched our Ovulation Tracking service! Couples who are having difficulty conceiving soon learn that they may not meet the criteria to go on to specialties such as IVF or reproductive endocrinology. The typical recommendation is to attempt to conceive on your own for 18 months to 2 years (assuming that you have no medical history that would expedite this referral). If you are unsuccessful after this time frame, you will then be referred on to a specialist. We are introducing a means to help couples during this sometimes frustrating window “trying”. Ovulation Tracking greatly increases the chances of successful conception. To help us with this service, we have integrated a team of radiologists to read our Ovulation Tracking exams. We are both honored and thrilled to bring this service to the community!

Just like what I keep on talking about, there is always a perfect timing in everything. My sister to pregnant for there second time last year and we were all happy to see her second baby. My mom was so excited that she was encouraging my sister to have an ultrasound already. But my sister told mom that she is waiting for the perfect timing; when everything can be visible in the machine and not everyone will have a hard time identifying the objects we see from the test. It's really important that we follow rules and everything associated with it.
