1. Tell us about your business/non profit and how it benefits local families?
We help to make the special events in a person’s life truly memorable
2. Where is it located?
East Sandwich, MA
3. What is your favorite thing about our community?
We love the pride so many of us share in the place where we live. We year-round residents choose to be here because we love this island, and we deeply appreciate the beautiful aspects of our community.
4. How else do you get involved with the community?
We have been active in supporting Special Olympics Cape Cod, PanMass, Cape Abilities and National MS Society
5. What do you think are the biggest challenges facing parents in our community?
The ability for us to provide adequate employment and housing opportunities for our children once they graduate high school or college is an essential shortcoming the Cape needs to overcome.
6. What is your favorite memory or story over the years involving you and your business
The very first project we installed was at a local children’s boutique. We set up the backdrop then waited inconspicuously to try and catch a reaction from a passer-by. The first child to see the rainbow colored wall was a little girl, perhaps 3 or 4. She spotted the wall, gasped, held her cheeks with her hands, and ran towards the colorful streamers at full speed! Her excitement told us we were on the right track- and we’ve been making smiles ever since.
7. What advice would you give parents and caregivers in our community?
Be realistic about the opportunities our children have ahead of them, and support what’s best for them, rather than what we may want for them. “Follow the Child”- Maria Montessori
8. Do you have any specials, events, or anything else taking place this upcoming year that our parents should know about?
Our official Launch Party is in the spring! Until then- we can’t wait to continue elevating events all over Cape Cod!

About Cape Cod Moms
Cape Cod Moms was founded in 2010 as a free resource, a place to network and collaborate for moms and parents on Cape Cod. Our blog is designed to help Cape Cod Moms connect with other moms, parents, and caregivers to empower the community with knowledge and support. Today much of our culture focuses on celebrity perfection, which fosters a desire in women and caregivers to do everything right. This is an impossible achievement for anyone and leaves women feeling overworked as the try to strive for a standard only achieved in the media. Cape Cod Moms is a supportive safe-haven for moms to know they aren't alone in the obstacles they face every day; other moms and caregivers struggle to get it all done too!

The best way to describe our summer family camp day is a time for families all coping with the loss of a loved one to be together and learn new healthy ways to help us cope productively. It is a time in which nobody has to get up and speak about their loved one or how they are feeling etc. It is time to be together for a cause to know and believe it is okay to be someone who is grieving and to know you are not alone.
We will all be a part of different activities throughout the day together at Camp Lyndon. Zumba, Drumming, swimming, mindfulness and snacks and lunch will be provided.
Cant join us for our camp day? Check out our Play Therapy and Equine Therapy events this month!

Escape YOUR reality at King Richard’s Faire, New England’s largest and longest-running Renaissance festival! Open Labor Day Weekend
Each year since 2012 we have been lucky enough to be granted admission to King Richard's realm as guests for his annual faire as well as offer giveaways to our fans & readers. This year we are giving away 3-Family 4 Packs for Opening Weekend to people who attend our upcoming Parent Night Out at the Cape Cod Children's Museum. We’ve always had such great times while attending. Some of our favorite parts of the Faire are seeing the Prince & Princess Contest and the joust, eating turkey legs, attending the fabulous music and shows and much more. We love visiting the vendors as well and in prior years have purchased a piece for our outfit to attend in! Each year we find something fantastic and something new! We cannot wait to see what is going to be at the Faire this year!

Hundreds of talented performers perform non-stop for you throughout the day on any one of our eight vibrant stages. The King’s handsome knights battle on horseback as bawdy beggars compete in mud. Wacky wenches will leave you in stitches while happy villagers engage you in the lanes. Frolicking faeries can be seen dancing through the forest, where you can try your skill in his majesty’s Gaming Glen.
Afterward, epicurean pleasures suited for royalty, will tantalize even the pickiest of taste buds. Satiate thy palate with giant spit-roasted turkey legs, ringlets of fryes, and boules of chowder or stew, and quench thy thirst with specialty cocktails, champagne, wine and brew.
Many of the King’s talented artisans journey from around the globe and have much to offer all who enter the gates of Carvershire. Discover beautiful handspun pottery, fabulous jewelry, and incredible face painting. Delight in period clothing, leather, armor, and moccasins.
