![]() By: Amy E As a child, one of my favorite things to do EVERY year on Cape Cod was to participate in the annual 4th of July Parade. My grandparents would take my cousins and I for an overnight each year and we would decorate our bikes and wagons and go walk in the Falmouth Heights Parade which would culminate at a home in the Heights with Patriotic Songs and much fanfare. One year I even sung the Star Spangled Banner for the whole crowd. The memories come swirling back even as I type now. Each year as I grew older, I would try to outdo the prior year with my decorations. Now as a parent myself the past few years we have participate in local parades and decorated. We walk with the kids who are beyond excited to display their patriotic contributions to the adoring audiences. These are memories our children will undoubtedly carry with them into adulthood and will someday encourage their own children to participate. Below we have compiled a list of local parades across Cape Cod. If we missed one, our sincerest apologies, just let us know and we are happy to add it! ![]() We hope you all have an Independence Day filled with FAMIY, LOVE and THANKFULNESS!
